How Much Does It Cost? Can You At Least Give Me A Ball Park Figure?
Every day friends, relatives, professionals, and Disposophobics will call or e-mail with one burning question: How much does it cost?
When we are asked this question, we wish we could immediately provide an answer, but it is equivalent to the following questions:
Imagine calling an airline and asking, “How much is an airline ticket?” and you didn’t tell them where you are traveling from and where want to go.
Call any dealership in the world and ask, “How much does a car cost?”
Or call the hospital emergency room and ask, “How much it will cost to recover from a serious car wreck?”
Lastly, try calling Macy’s department store and asking them, “How much is a new fall ladies wardrobe?”
In order to tell you how much a project like yours will cost, how long it will take, and when can we start, we must do an assessment. Like doctors, we charge a modest fee for our assessment and consultation. Upon your call 24-48 hours after your scheduled appointment we can tell you to the penny how much it will cost and how long it will take.
Everyone who is seeking information about recovery including cost and schedule must go through this assessment process, there are no exceptions.
If you live within 125 miles of NY City we will perform an on-site assessment to determine exactly what you need to have done and what the place will be like when the project is finished.
If you live beyond 125 miles of New York City you will have to go to the link below and follow the instructions.

So How Do You Determine How Much My Project Will Cost?
It depends on so many different variables just as do the examples you read above. Since each case is unique we must do an assessment before we can determine how much and how long it will take.
Do You Have Someone In My Area?
Yes, we have resources nationwide. Decluttering a Disposophobic’s life requires a team of specialists with a high degree of organization, commitment, compassion, and follow-through. First and foremost is an experienced project manager on the case who knows how to communicate and manage the project and has at least ten years on-site experience and can manage a staff with an iron fist to assure that NOTHING of value gets lost in the process. Disaster Masters ® has an untarnished reputation nationwide and we intend to keep it that way.

CAN YOU HELP SOMEONE I KNOW? CAN I HIRE YOU AS A THIRD PARTY?
If you have a friend or a relative who may need to recover from this malady, ideally the Disposophobic should call us directly at 718-939-5800 or 1-800-The Plan for a short interview.
The only time we can work for a Third Party is when they have the legal capacity to represent the Disposophobic, i.e., Power of Attorney, Guardianship, etc.
In either case the caller should be prepared to be asked some very important personal yet relevant questions, and expect 100% truthful candid answers. Such questions include, but are not limited to: where they live, how many live there, how many and what kind of animals, the number of years living there, work and/or retirement history, hobbies, and a description of the stuff acquired.
Whether this is for yourself or you are a 3rd Party, you must go through the assessment process before we can begin. It is how all of our projects are handled and there are absolutely no exceptions.
Once we complete the assessment process we can proceed. Without this essential phase, there is little we can do to help you other than sympathize, which will not solve your problem.
In the event you are looking for emotional support or personal coaching, we offer coaching services over the phone and via video cam. Please call and ask for a Clutter Coach at our Clutter Clinic to get current package session rates.
DO YOU CLEAN OR HAVE PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZERS?
Yes, but those members of our staff do not perform those tasks independently of the project. It may be included as one of the Phases of a Project, typically during the last Phase of the Freedom Plan, but would not be the entire scope of the project. Please don't confuse us with ordinary cleaning services, or the paid organizers who generally just pack up the stuff for storage or simply move around and reorganize the clutter. This type of solution is what we refer to as “containerized procrastination”. After 35 years in the Contents Management business, we can tell you first hand, this is one of the poorest investments a Disposophobic can make, and will only create more grief later.

If you have read this far you should be able to tell that we are very serious about our client’s mental health and that of those around them.
There are many other frequently asked questions on our website www.disposophobia.com which may be additionally helpful as to how and why we do what we do.
Our unique system has helped thousands of people. Each and every client is very important to us. The Freedom Plan is all about saving people from themselves by helping them undo years of poor thinking which created the clutter in the first place.
We are always available to answer any of your questions not addressed here or on the website. We are also open to any comments and suggestions you may have.
We wish you the very best and thank you for you inquiry.
